Our client is a Primary care network of two practices in Reading. The PCN is a busy group of practices looking to build a multi-disciplinary team. The PCN works across 3 purpose built surgeries (approx 40k pts).

Physician Associates have a valuable role to play in delivering the future of primary care. The PCN are looking for a Physician Associate who will share this vision and want to join our friendly and growing multidisciplinary team.

The primary care network comprises two practices covering three surgery sites with a total of over 42,000 patients. Both practices are committed training practices with an established and highly skilled multidisciplinary team; including urgent care practitioners (paramedics), advanced nurse practitioners, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and first contact physiotherapy.

Reading is a diverse and vibrant town with excellent amenities and good schools. It has easy access within minutes to a beautiful countryside, and is well situated with major roads such as the M4 and well connected rail links including to London.

In addition to your clinical work, as the Lead Physician Associate you will provide a structure for peer support and mentorship of two other newly qualified Physician Associates. You will work cross-PCN as an ‘Educational Supervisor’ to provide 1 to 1 check ins and oversee the pastoral and professional development aspects for all PAs. You will participate and lead on monthly ‘PA Educational Meeting’ (currently held remotely) to promote PA peer learning and meet their CPD requirements.

It is essential that you have at least one year experience in General Practice as a Physician Associate, an interest in peer support & training and prepared to scope out and develop proposals on service development and improvements for consideration by the clinical leadership team.



PG Dip or MSc Physician Associate studies

Registered with / eligible for PAMVR

A minimum of one year experience in General Practice
